This project touches the earth lightly with the volumes of the house over sailing the steep sloping site beneath. Views are prioritised across the valley to the forests and tea plantations beyond. The plan arrangement works around the existing Silver Oak trees providing shaded terraces that project from every room and sit high in the tree canopies.
The house has four bedrooms and a number of flexible interstitial spaces that allow the circulation to be inhabited and form an integral part of the residents daily rhythms.
